Information

This loco will have been test steamed by us. Chaloner is a powerful two cylinder gear driven engine with no flywheel, and a water top up valve fitted to the water level gauge. Chaloner is now fitted with a new 6mm diameter glass, easier to read water level gauge. It has a lever regulator and a reversing lever, displacement lubricator and pressure gauge. Exhaust steam is taken from the cylinders to a condensate tank. The wheels are insulated and gauge adjustable. Black with silver boiler bands and red lining.

The buffer couplings are designed to be compatible with LGB and Piko rolling stock hook and loops. and can also be used with a chain.

Regner no longer provide a tool kit in with their engines, so if this is your first Regner engine we recommend you purchase the starter kit 25410, which is available for £29 ( normally £32 ) when ordered with this engine. If you use a Ronson gas can adaptor and would like this engine fitted with a Ronson gas tank filler valve, please tick the box and we will fit one for an extra £15. A whistle kit is available for Chaloner which you can purchase as an extra to fit yourself or we can fit it for you. When I fit the whistle it will be mounted under the floor between the wheels. The whistle valve will be fitted were the safety valve is, the safety valve will be moved to the higher port near the chimney. This means the whistle valve is not above the chimney. I can also fit a 1/2" or 3/4" 6 bar bottom entry pressure gauge in place of the 23mm rear entry REGNER pressure gauge see above for the prices.
